beef chowmein fv

Beef chowmein
500 gm beef undercut cut into thin strips
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp hot sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 clove garlic finely chopped
1/2 tsp ginger paste
200 gms egg noodles
1 tsp rice vinegar
6 dried mushroom soaked in 1/4 cup hot water
100 gms button mushrooms
125gms bean sprouts
1 onion cut into wedges and separated
2 stalks celery cut lengthwise
1 carrot cut lengthwise

For the sauce:
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp cornflour
3/4 cup water
Rice vinegar 1/2 tsp
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 chicken cube crumbled
1 tbsp soy sauce

Marinate beef in rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, 1 tbsp soy sauce, oyster
sauce and hot sauce for 1 hour.
Boil noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until done make sure
to stir to keep them separate and add a few drops of oil. Drain well. In
a pan heat 1 tbsp oil add the noodles along with 1 tbsp soy sauce and
stir fry for a minute. Heat oil in a wok add the onions and saute for a
minute then add the remaining vegetables and saute for 2 minutes. Remove
vegetables from the pan. Heat oil in the same wok add the beef and saute
till it changes color, add the prepared sauce and cook till sauce is
boiling. Add the vegetables toss for a further 2 minutes over high heat.
Toss the noodles on a platter top with the beef sauce and serve.
